4 Days from Fes ITINERARY:

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest- Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

We will pick you up at 8 a.m. from your hotel or riad and head towards the Middle Atlas Mountains,
passing via Ifran, which the locals refer to as "Switzerland of Morocco" because of how much it resembles
a Swiss ski resort. We then head to Midelt via the Cedar forest -largest in North Africa- and home to
barbary monkies. Well have an opportunity to feed them and take fascinating pictures. Before we get to
Midelt, well enjoy beautiful Berber mud villages, countryside, and landscapes that nature offers us.
Midway, stop for lunch in Midelt. Continue traveling to the Sahara desert passing through the Atlas
mountains and  Ziz gorges. After some time, we reach the striking, palm-tree-filled hidden oases of Ziz
Valley. Some panoramic views here is a must do and time to relax, then drive all along the valley to arrive
in Arfoud- Fossil town, youll have the possibility to see fossils; guests are welcome to tour the marble-
working factory. We will travel to the Sahara desert on the first day of our 4-day Fes Marrakesh desert
tour, where you will spend the night in a hotel with a view of the beautiful golden dunes of Merzouga.

Day 2: Sahara Desert Sightseeing – Camel ride – Camp

We will start our four-day Fes Marrakesh desert tour with a half-day journey into the Sahara to explore
the many desert regions after breakfast. After visiting the only lake in the desert, we will travel straight to
the heart of the Sahara desert, where we will meet some nomads and have a cup of tea to learn about their
way of life. Next, we will travel the same route that the Rally Paris Dakar once took to reach the Mifis
mines, where it will be time to pay them a visit. Following that, we go straight to the town of Khamlia,
where black Berbers who are originally from Mali, Niger, live.Well get the opportunity to hear their
music and dance. Lunch in the town ( Berber Pizza). Then, we set off to visit an impressive oasis on the
edge of dunes. After a rest, you will ride your camels crossing the golden dunes. Your camel guide will
stop for you to see the magnificent sunset on top of a dune, then continue to the camp where you will be
welcomed by a cup of tea. After a delicious dinner, the fire will be lit and music will be played by nomads
playing drums and entertain you under a starry sky.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After enjoying one of the most beautiful sunrises in your life, you will ride camels back to meet your
driver again. Leave the quietness of the immense desert and travel to the city of Rissani, once a major
stopping place for the Saharan-caravans route; if it coincides the day markets which take place on
Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays we will have an opportunity to visit the souk – the largest one in the
region. We then travel to Todra Gorges, a narrow vertical passage with vertical cliffs 300m high rising
dramatically on each side, they are a popular destination for climbing lovers. Lunch in the town, then
continues to Dades valley where you will see the fascinating rock formations known locally as  monkies
fingers ; as well as beautiful mud kasbahs; night in a hotel overlooking the valley.


Day 4: Dades Valley – Rose Town – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech

Today, we head to Rose Town, also known as El Kalaa Mgou'na, where more than 400 tons of rose petals
are harvested each spring and turned into rosewater or sent to the perfume industry. Every May, this
place hosts the rose festival. Amidst the lush vegetation of Dades Valley, plenty of kasbahs can be seen

during our journey from Rose Town to Skoura. The small town of Skoura is surrounded by thousands of
palm groves and the most beautiful kasbahs in southern Morocco are to be found here. Continue our
journey to Ouarzazate " Hollywood of Africa  with the biggest cinema studios in Morocco, then to the
most famous, filmed and photographed kasbah of Ait Benhaddou – A Unesco World Heritage site – Well
have free time to visit it and have lunch in the village. After we head to Marrakesh via high atlas
mountains (2260), admiring the impressive mountainous views and special Berber villages set out
dramatically on the mountain sides. The four-day Fez Marrakesh desert tour comes to an end when you
arrive in the evening and are dropped off at your lodging.
