We will pick you up from your riad and start our 4 days morocco tour from Tangier to Fes via Chefchaouen towards Volubilis via Rif mountains, you will enjoy wonderful green landscapes as well as Berber villages of the Rif all along the way. We will also pass by Wazzan city and head to the Most preserved archeological site of the Roman ruins. In Volubilis, you will see the stunning mosaic tile work as the mosaic of the Labours of Hercules, the Baths of Gallienus, and Baths of Forum with their fragmentary mosaics, public hammams, triumphal arches, and parliament buildings. In 1997, the archaeological site of Volubilis was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site List. We then continue driving towards the imperial city of Meknes known as the city of walls or the city of a hundred minarets as it has many mosques. Here, you will see the huge, beautiful gate of Mansour, the Granary, The Swani basin, the old medina with its souks and Lahdim square where you will relax in one of its Cafées. In the late afternoon, we drive directly to Fes, overnight in a riad in the heart of the medina.
After breakfast, you will be met with a local guide with whom you will start your city tour by visiting first the outside part of the Medina (old city) including The Royal Palace Gate, the Jewish Quarter” Mellah” – dates back to 14th Century. You will also visit the ceramics Cooperative to see traditional Moroccan crafts. Afterwards, you will cover the most important sites inside the medina with a cultural and historical interest including the superb architectural masterpiece of Bou Inania Medersa, Blue gate, the Karaouiyine Mosque, The Big Chouara Tanneries, Medersa Seffarin where people work on metal and make beautiful (lamps , teapots) and other decorated architectural masterpieces like Attarin Medersa and the Najarian Fountain. After breakfast, we will travel to the Chefchaouen via the rif mountains and the city of Ouazzan. We will arrive around mid-day, then start exploring chefchaouen (known as the blue city). It is a small charming, clean and fresh town. you’ll stroll around the old Medina with its old restored kasbah, Plaza Uta Hammam, the square at the heart of the town is an ideal place to relax. with its steep, narrow cobbled streets and whitewashed walls, blue doors, windows, and mountains as a backdrop make from Chefchaouen a wonderful place for fascinating pictures. After lunch, you will see the natural spring water of Ras Elma. Unlike other parts of Morocco, this town was occupied by Spain. Therefore, there is much influence of the Spanish and Moorish culture. You will have an opportunity to meet with locals, wander in the souks (markets) and enjoy this amazing town. Overnight in a riad
Today, we may leave Chefchaouen when you like, depending on your flight time. You may spend the whole morning and drive back to Tangier where the 4 days tour from Tangier to Fes via Chefchaouen ends, drop you off at your accommodation, port or airport.
