3 Days Fes to Marrakech via The Desert

After breakfast, we will pick you up and travel to the south of Morocco. Our first stop will be in Ifran, a lovely village nicknamed as “the Swiss town” due to its resemblance to a Swiss ski resort. We next proceed to the cedar forest, where we will have the opportunity to feed and photograph Barbary monkies. Following that, we’ll travel across the Middle Atlas Mountains to Midelt, where we’ll eat lunch. We’ll continue south via the Atlas Mountains and the Ziz Gorges to the Ziz Valley’s magnificent hidden oasis, where we’ll stop for a panoramic view.We’ll pass via Erfoud on our way to the Sahara Desert, where your camels will be waiting to take you on a ride across the beautiful sand dunes. On the way, your camel guide will stop for you to watch one that could be the best sunset in your life. The team will amuse you with drums around a fire and beneath a starry sky after dinner.

Seeing the sunrise early in the morning is a (must do). After breakfast, you’ll return to Merzouga on a calm camel trip. We depart for Rissani, which was historically an important stopover for Saharan caravans; if our arrival coincides with the day markets, which take place on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, we will have the opportunity to explore the region’s largest souk. Then we went to Erfoud, which is a fossil town. Then it’s on to the incredible Todra valley, where we’ll have lunch and take in the breathtaking Todra gorges, as well as free time to roam around and observe the cliffs. Later, we’ll travel to the Dades Valley, where you may witness amazing sandcastles and other natural wonders.

We’ll depart Dades Valley today for El Kalaa M’gouna (rose valley). Drive along a road lined with thousands of kasbahs, where you’ll have plenty of opportunities to shoot some of your best photos of the trip. We’ll make a pit stop in the rose village, where farmers harvest over 400 tonnes of rose petals each year. Every May, a festival is held here. We’ll continue to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” with the country’s largest film studios.We then proceed to the famed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a Unesco world heritage site where numerous international films such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Game of Thrones were filmed. Your journey will continue across the High Atlas Mountains’ spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m), where we will appreciate the unique Berber communities, before concluding your 3-day Fes Marrakech desert tour at your hotel/riad in Marrakech.
